GUN RIGHTS ACTION ALTER
As was
expected, President Barack Obama used his State of
the Union speech last night to push for more
restrictions on your right to own a firearm.
But he didn't tell
you the entire truth behind his extreme gun ban
agenda.
Watch this
video
now to learn the real truth about how Obama's gun
control proposals would lead to gun
registration...and even confiscation.
NRA-ILA is running
this critical ad in several key states right now.
But it's not enough! We need to put our message in
front of as many Americans as possible if we're
going to win this all-out fight to save the Second
Amendment.
So please, after you watch the video, I need you to
make an urgently needed contribution to NRA-ILA
today to help us keep this ad on the air. Whatever
amount you can afford to contribute - whether it's
$10 or $100 -
every single dollar
will help.

Pro-gun lobby in Oklahoma balks at
federal reform plans
The most active members of Oklahoma's pro-gun lobby
said President Barack Obama's push for tighter gun
restrictions is "feel good" politics at the cost of
sound gun policy.
Monday, Obama accused the national gun lobby of
"ginning up" fears that the federal government is
looking to take away gun rights in the wake of last
month's Connecticut school shooting.
The remarks came
in advance of gun policy reforms expected to be
announced Tuesday. (

The "LIST" of
Anti-Gun Supporters, Organizations, Celebrities,
Public Figures, etc...
The following organizations have lent monetary,
grassroots or some other type of direct support to
anti-gun organizations. In many instances, these
organizations lent their name in support of specific
campaigns to pass anti-gun legislation such as the
March 1995 HCI “Campaign to Protect Sane Gun Laws.”
Many of these organizations were listed as “Campaign
Partners,” for having pledged to fight any efforts
to repeal the Brady Act and the Clinton “assault
weapons” ban. Click Here
for the list.

Congressman Tom
Cole, 4th District
The Arms Trade
Treaty currently under consideration by the United
Nations is rightfully the subject of growing
concern. Typical of many U.N. initiatives, the
treaty has an unrealistic but vaguely laudable
goal. According to U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon,
the “robust and legally binding” treaty “will have a
real impact on the lives of those millions of people
suffering from consequences of armed conflict,
repression and armed violence.” By establishing
international standards on the import, export and
transfer of arms, the U.N. aims to prevent weapons
from falling into the hands of terrorists and other
human rights abusers. (

In the late Summer of 2005, ORA Executive Director
Charles Smith walked into the Capitol office of
longtime ORA member and friend State Rep. Kevin
Calvey. “Kevin, we need something like this,”
handing him a copy of Florida’s “Castle Doctrine”
law. Rep. Calvey subsequently authored the
bill, adding additional safeguards.
During the next session his bill was introduced and
adopted. Oklahoma now had the best
“Castle Doctrine” law in the nation, thanks to Kevin
Calvey and the ORA.
